Paris Saint-Germain defeated FC Barcelona 4–2 on Tuesday 20 October on Matchday 3 of the 2026/27 UEFA Champions League league phase. The win put PSG on nine points from three games.
After three matchdays, PSG, Aston Villa, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Real Betis lead the standings on nine points each. PSG started the campaign with a 6–1 win over Slovan Bratislava, then won 4–2 at Manchester City on 14 October before beating Barcelona.
The league phase has 36 teams and eight matchdays. It began on 8 September and ends on 27 January 2027 with 18 simultaneous games. Barcelona, who beat Feyenoord 5–1 on Matchday 1 and won 4–1 at Galatasaray on Matchday 2, face Aston Villa in Matchday 4 on 3 November.
